Tile and Concrete Flooring

What floors can be saved after a storm damage?

After a flood there are a lot of materials that need to be removed in a building or home. The main items removed are wood flooring and drywall because it is porous. The pores will soak up water but flood water is contaminated with bacteria and chemicals from the outside.

Concrete flooring can be cleaned even though it has pores. That is because it is not organic and will not grow mold or bacteria. Tile flooring can also be saved because it isn't made from organic material. The second picture looks like wood floor but it is a tile floor that looks like wood.
